Call for Art:
“Hues of Identity” Pride Exhibition Community Wall Installation

There’s nothing more important to Pride than community. So, we are inviting you, local LGBTQIA+ individuals, to contribute a piece of queer art to a community wall installation in our upcoming Pride exhibition, “Hues of Identity.”

Just as individuals working together make up a community, individual pieces will come together to complete a much larger installation.

What are we looking for?
Submit an 8x8” piece of paper depicting what “Queer Joy” means to YOU.

Artworks can be drawings, photographs, and collages.

Pieces will be displayed side-by-side in a grid formation, fastened to wire using mini photo clips.

To find happiness and security when faced with hate is an act of rebellion and strength. Queer Joy is powerful — and something no one can take away from you. Show us your joy!

Drop-off dates are Tuesday, May 28 — Friday, May 31 during operating hours.

Strand Center for the Arts has the right to reject any exhibition pieces should they be deemed inappropriate or unsafe.
