Artist Opportunities

  • Musicians Foundation

    Application for one-time financial assistance is open to professional musicians across all genres. You must be a professional music performer, composer/arranger, or educator in a specific time of need caused by an unexpected hardship (e.g., medical or dental situation, natural disaster, or certain housing crises).

  • Millay Arts

    The Core Residency for the second session (April to July) offers 2-week to 1-month stays and is fully subsidized (aside from a $45 application fee and $100 non-refundable deposit). Artists receive private bedrooms and studios, access to shared spaces, food (groceries and communal dinners), and facilities like a darkroom and libraries. Applications are accepted through Submittable with a deadline of October 1st (late deadline: October 8th). Selection is via a blind jury process based on the merit of submitted work.

  • ART OMI

    The Art Omi: Artists Residency 2026 runs from June 18 to July 13, 2026. It invites 24 international artists (including critics and curators) for a month of creative work, collaboration, and cultural exchange in rural New York. Artists engage with visiting art professionals through the Visitors Program and receive studio visits. Applications are open from August 15 to October 15, 2025, with notifications in March 2026.

  • Women’s Studio Workshop

    The Studio Residency Grant is a 6-8 week residency for artists working in intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, photography, or ceramics (facilities reopen in 2026). The grant includes a $350/week stipend, up to $500 for materials, up to $250 for travel within the U.S., free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access. The application process is two-step, with an impartial jury selecting finalists. Applications open November 15, with a deadline of January 15. Residency takes place September through June, 1-2 years after application.
