2026 Residency
We are proud to once again partner with Jon Lehrer Dance Company (JLDC) for a 3-week residency to take place in our Theatre during the Fall of 2026. This engagement was planned with the needs of the Strand’s community members at top of mind from the start of our collaboration. Here in Plattsburgh, NY dance is a severely underrepresented artform for our audiences and community giving JLDC an opportunity to make a significant impact.
Bringing in the Jon Lehrer Dance Company to teach workshops to our community greatly expands our impact and learning outcomes allowing students to not only see professional dancers perform on stage, but to further learn from them in workshops as well. Workshops are FREE to attend, made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
Registration is first come, first serve based on availability for each workshop session. Please fill-out the interest form and a member of our education team will be in touch to confirm your registration.
Workshop Location
We’re thrilled to partner with Adirondack Dance for these workshops! Workshops are located in their dance studios located at: 23 Durkee St, Plattsburgh, NY. (Final performance will be at the Strand Center Theatre.)
