Registration opens May 1st at 10am!

Calling all plein air artists! We are pleased to announce our first ever Plein Air Festival, which will be located in our very own downtown Plattsburgh New York! The festival schedule is as follows:  

Monday, August 31st: Surface Stamping and Artist Check-In on the Strand front Lawn from 9am-12pm. Please bring all painting surfaces you intend to use for the duration of the festival. If you are unable to attend the designated surface stamping and check-in time slot, please stop by our Welcome Center during our regular business hours.

Monday, August 31st-Thursday, September 3rd: Artists are encouraged to explore our charming downtown Plattsburgh and historical landmarks through their work. Our landmark round-up is coming soon!

Thursday, September 3rd: Artists are to bring their labeled, framed, and/or wired pieces to the Strand Center Gallery Thursday, September 3rd, at 3pm. Extra labels will be provided at the Welcome Center during this time if needed. 

Friday, September 4th: Participating artists and community members alike are encouraged to attend the opening reception from 5pm-8pm to view the stunning work created throughout the week. Awards will also be announced at 6pm. 

Saturday, September 5th: The Plattsburgh Plein Air Exhibition will be on display until 3pm. Artists are to pick up their work between 3pm-5pm.
